Jonathan Di Renzo is a rock / alternative-influenced vocalist and guitarist active in the St. Pete Beach / St. Petersburg / Tampa, Florida, area. In his 30's and with a multi-octave vocal span, he plays a variety of instruments and has experience in songwriting, studio recording, production, and live performances.
Inspired by American and British rock music while growing up in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Di Renzo took up guitar and vocals at age 12. In 2009 he created "Ecto 1", a tribute band honoring rock music of past decades, performing at numerous venues over the span of two years. He recorded his original album, "Getting Nowhere", in 2012, completing a three-month U.S. tour of New Jersey and Texas, eventually settling in St. Petersburg, Florida, in 2013. Di Renzo plays out several times a week and is currently crowdfunding his second album and seeking industry collaborators.
Highlights of Di Renzo's career include recreating a version of the "Freddy Mercury Tribute Concert", complimented as a "great project" by Queen guitarist Brian May. Jonas Isaacson (guitarist of Roxette) describes Di Renzo's original 2012 country-crossover single "Night Sun" as "outstanding". Di Renzo has over 245,000 views on his Youtube channel, with over 40k in views for his acoustic performance of "While My Guitar Gently Weeps".
